Sjón was born in Reykjavík in 1962 and his real name is Sigurjón Birgir Sigurðsson. He came to the novel via poetry and music and lives and works in Reykjavík. He has written numerous books of poetry, novels and plays and also works as a screenwriter for the cinema. His works have been translated into over 35 languages. The German translation of his trilogy “CoDex 1962” was published by Fischer Verlag in June 2020. /// As of June 17, 2021
